More and more people are working remotely, so folks are turning to Slack and other tools to keep in touch with their co-workers. But that means we don’t get all the context and cues that could lead to awkward situations.
That leads us to a situation that our future editor, Casey Johnston, found herself in. Erika Allen, The Outline's managing editor, messaged her “hi!” and it led to surely believing that nothing good was in store.
