These ‘Ready Player One’ posters are actually really cool

Somehow Steven Spielberg has done something right with the Ready Player One advertising, at least in Los Angeles. While walking around Hollywood yesterday, I spotted these knock-offs of some of the most popular movies of yesteryear (which presumably will all make an appearance in the film), including The Matrix, Labyrinth, Risky Business, Beetlejuice, and the Steve Mcqueen classic, Bullitt. (Off camera in the picture below are Back to the Future and The Iron Giant.) There are plenty more that Slashfilm has collected here. None of this changes the fact that the movie itself looks like a trainwreck of epic proportions, but kudos to the team in marketing.

Culture

‘Ready Player One’ is a terrible book and it will be a terrible movie

It’s nerd culture gone awry.
