Why is the theme song for ‘RoboCop’ on the Gameboy so beautiful?

Your move, creep.

On Monday night comedian and writer Mike Drucker took to Twitter to ask about everyone’s favorite video game music. The question sparked a memory from deep in my youth and I immediately responded. RoboCop for the Nintendo Gameboy, Mr. Drucker.

I didn’t realize until listening again just how sad and beautiful this particular piece of video game music was. It turns out the song has a bit of internet history as well — apparently a well-known Dilbert parody featured a cover of the track, and eventually Lil B The BasedGod sampled it for his mixtape White Flame. Weird! Seriously though this song is gorgeous and you should listen to it and cry.
