Few things are as irritating as pulling up to a red light that never seems to change. How long must we wait? 10 seconds? A minute? More? We know that it has to turn green eventually, but that lingering uncertainty while waiting can leave even the most Zen among us on edge. Some countries help curb that anxious feeling by including a timer on their traffic lights to indicate to drivers when exactly they can expect the light to change.
