Gifts for Very Serious People

The kinds of things your grandma might already own

I’m a fairly easy woman to please. For several Christmases, my parents simply bought and wrapped up office supplies — pens, paper clips, a stapler — and pitched those under the tree. I was happier with those than I would have been with something more expensive, to be sure, and they never went unused.

I have maintained my dedication and passion for serviceable goods into adulthood. That doesn't mean I don't love occasional expensive perfume or jewelry. Who doesn't love it when someone splurges on them?

Anyway. Here's a list of items I made up of things I genuinely would like to own one day. If not right now. Don't buy them for me unless you know me personally. That would just be weird.
