The prices of meat are rising, and for that reason and many more, some companies are betting that buying a pound of ground beef will become a thing of the past. One of those companies is Impossible Foods, and its most famous product is the Impossible Burger, a non-meat patty that “bleeds” like its mooing cousin.

Casey Johnston, The Outline's future editor, tried one of these burgers and discussed her experience with our staff writer, and vegetarian, Paris Martineau. Is bleeding wheat the future of food, or is it just a flash in the pan?
