The first trailer for the new Mr. Rogers documentary is the most wholesome thing online

If you’re feeling iffy about the state of the world today, take a moment to watch this new trailer for the upcoming Mr. Rogers documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor. Coming the theaters June 8, the film explores the origin, rise, and significance of seminal children’s show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Following the recently released PBS special celebrating the 50th anniversary of the show, Won’t You Be My Neighbor is the next chapter in 2018’s Mr. Rogers collective retrospective, which we wrote about earlier this month.

For anyone with lingering nostalgia for the show, the trailer alone is a total tearjerker, and one can assume the film itself will be a wild ride of sentimental wholesomeness that will have people reaching for their tissues. Now, we only have to wait for the Mr. Rogers movie starring Tom Hanks to be released, and Mr. Rogers mania will finally be complete.
